14th Annual Skate for the Kids Fundraiser

The Ocean Beach community is coming together once again for the 14th Annual Skate for the Kids Fundraiser, an afternoon of skateboarding, community spirit, and giving back. Hosted by Ocean Beach Surf and Skate, Ocean Experience, and Peninsula Surf Club in collaboration with Ocean Beach Elementary, this long standing event raises funds directly for Ocean Beach Elementary.
For 14 years, this fundraiser has celebrated the powerful connection between skateboarding and community. Every dollar raised through sponsorships, monetary donations, auction bids, raffle tickets, and food sales goes directly to support Ocean Beach Elementary and its students. It is a meaningful way for the skate community to invest back into local education and make a lasting impact.
A Full Afternoon of Skating
The event runs from 12 to 3 PM and is completely free to attend, participate in, and compete. Whether you are stepping on a board for the first time or ready to showcase your skills, there is something for everyone.
Schedule of Events:
1:00 PM – Youth Skate Clinic
2:00 PM – Youth Skate Contest K to 4th Grade
2:20 PM – Youth Skate Contest 5th to 8th Grade
2:40 PM – Open Trick Contest All Ages
2:55 PM – Awards and Closing Statements
The Youth Skate Clinic is a great opportunity for beginners to learn the basics in a supportive environment. From there, the energy builds as young skaters compete in grade level divisions, followed by an open trick contest where skaters of all ages can push their limits and show off their creativity.
Online Auction and Food Sales
This year, the silent auction will be held online. Bidding opens March 2 and will remain open through the day of the event on March 15. Winners will be announced following the close of bidding. Be sure to participate early and share the link with friends and family to maximize support for the school.

All proceeds from the online auction, food sales, and raffle tickets directly benefit Ocean Beach Elementary.
Participation Requirements
If you plan to participate in the clinic or any competition, you must complete a waiver in advance. Please fill it out here:

A completed waiver is required in order to participate.
Skateboards and pads are heavily encouraged, and equipment will be available while supplies last. Whether you are skating or cheering from the sidelines, this event is designed to be welcoming, inclusive, and family friendly.
